Drew Stubb’ed Up His Game!!

The Virtuous Pagans have acquired CF Drew Stubbs from the Dead Rebels for 2B Brandon Philips.

When Stubbs and Phillips were asked about the trade, they together replied “I thought we were on the same team already?” while scratching each others head.

  1. This one makes tons of sense.

  2. Ramrod continues to be a dangerous town for the weak and vulnerable. Are you sure, when asked about the trade, Stubbs' response wasn't "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKK OWWWWWWWW MY ASSHOLE IS BLEEDING PROFUSELY!!!!!!!"What makes it worse is now last year's trade looks like Bautista and Cahill for J Roll and Drew Stubbs. So much for that reputation as a fair trade partner to work with for those bottom teams. But it is not like those bottom care or pays attention to these kind of things, just more of the same.

  3. This trade was offered to me so I accepted it. There were no negotiations or back and forth. went to set my roster last night for todays games and the trade had been proposed to me, so I accepted it.D. Stubbs is the higher rated player at the moment, and if he did not strike out like crazy he would be even more valuable. He is also 3 years younger and provides power at CF. B. Phillips is a good player, but we know what he is going to produce. It is upside for position strength.

  4. You should have denied it for his own good. I've heard you say that about other trades. The rankings are based on 5 stats so they do not exactly translate to a league with 15 stats categories. If you think Stubbs is the better player than why make the trade? And 2nd base is much shallower than CF. And I thought the top teams should pay more to the bottom teams. Words and actions don't seem to match up.

  5. All I did was accept a trade, and it is not like he offered me Babe Ruth for money to finance a play."You should have denied it for his own good" – GomezBecause thats how Fantasy sports work right? Fucking genius. I know you are just trying to turn my brain against me. Smart move, if I were you I would use the same manipulative plan of attack, it has worked in the past against me, and has proven to be a wise strategy.I also never said I thought Stubbs was a better player, I said he was higher ranked (which is true) and younger. Let me know when you turn down a trade for the other owners "own good" so I can crown you Biggest Heart of Ramrod.League pushback about trades I have made have resulted in me making corresponding moves that I wish I should not of made, and I will not allow that to happen again. Nobody likes my trade, oh well, I'm ok with it, just means I made a good trade. That is usually when I do all my bitching, when other teams make trades and improve their roster, so I will take all this yapping as a compliment towards my team getting better. All this because someone OFFERED ME a trade and I accepted it. I do not care, let them think im a shark. Ohh no, I am a bad guy, woo is me….Whatever, I got a 2B. Bummer drag for you guys, because you know, it is such a huge deal and will probably result in me winning 5 years in a row, so all of this was totally worth it.

  6. "You should have denied it for his own good" I am writing that one down. Even if I did say that, which I am sure I probably did, that is the worst advice I have ever given to anyone.

  7. You have said that repeatedly, Wick. Whether you were joking or not, you told me, on several occasions, that you have turned a new leaf. In fact, I recall one fairly large trade that you declined on the basis of it being "bad for the person offering it."

  8. "You should have denied it for his own good"That is all from your mouth. You said that to Devon numerous times when you would whine about the trades you two made. You told him he should be looking out for your best interests and not have taken the trade. You said you did not accept a trade from Walls because you were looking out for his best interests. What about Pat's best interests? Fuck em right? You give Devon all kinds of shit for trades he made yet you do the same thing. In fact you are the OG rapist. This was being said about your trades and tactics WAAAAAAAY before Devon joined the league."Let me know when you turn down a trade for the other owners "own good" so I can crown you Biggest Heart of Ramrod."I won't nor did I ever claim I would, unlike you. Last year you said you wanted to be known as a good guy, one who people want to work with. Someone who is willing to make a fair/good trade for both parties. I told you that you cannot just declare it and have it be true, you have to put it into action. A year later it is the same old tricks for Wick. Choose a path and stick with it, otherwise it is hypocritical. You cannot walk both lines"Nobody likes my trade, oh well, I'm ok with it, just means I made a good trade."It also means Pat made a bad trade which you are the beneficiary of. Bring em in, gain their confidence, then molest.I am sure in a month or so you will go back to wanting to be the moral compass of the league and claiming you are looking out for people's best interests. The great thing about this blog is we always have your own words to show that it is bullshit.

  9. Preach on, brother Gomez!

  10. I said I have made that statement. I also said iit was the worst advice I had ever given. Pay attention. Also, pat OFFERED a trade for which he acquired the HIGHER RANKED player. Also, like I said, I do not care about what the league thinks of my trades anymore, let them think I am a monster coming for their best players. Hide your All-Stars, the Dead Rebels are coming. I told you, league trade guilt trips have caused me to make corresponding moves that were not for my benefit. Those days are over. Attention League Ramrod: Fuck your teams, I do mot care where you finish, I just want your best players on my team. All because the Pagans offered a trade and acquired the higher ranked player.

  11. Back to bad…it fits me better anyway. I'm going to a dark alley to wait for my next victim. You can continue to use you energy boo-hoeing about my trade if you would like……excuse me, I am going to Call Dan O concerning a C. Lee trade…think he will do it for J. Lawrie and a couple drafts picks? He does need IF help…

  12. The ranks are based on 5 stat category leagues. You know what is not one of those stats? STRIKE OUTS. Kind of skews the numbers doesn't it? Now, did Pat offer you the trade? I am not clear on that one.1,2,3 REPEATER!

Posted by Dick Pounds | August 14, 2011, 6:54 pm
  13. The point is, can a man be accused of rape if he is just chill'n in a dark alley by himself, looking for a sexy 2B to fuck, and some girl throws her middle infield smelling pussy at him willingly? That's consent. If he pursued her, mentally broke her down, them penetrated her ass-whole with out her permission, then you could call it rape.If anything the accused is the victim here. I should sue for slander. All this because Pat OFFERED ME a trade for a which he received the HIGHER RANKED player, of course, according to the traditional 5×5 ranking system. That is 1/3 Relevant to our stat categories.

  14. Also, pointing out arguing techniques, grammatical errors or the energy level of your debate opponent is just a cheap way of taking the focus off the actual argument, and is used by people who have exhausted their means of making intelligent points as they attempt to change the direction of the conversation from the actual debate topic to making their opponent appear shaken, weak, or of lower intelligence. Just saying.

  18. This is unprecedented. Nobody has ever been accused of rape in this league. Now wonder Wick is freaking out. We need to be more careful, Gomez.

Posted by Devon Rosene | August 14, 2011, 8:44 pm
  19. I am not freaking out, I am defining rape. I asked a question, do the circumstances result in a rape charge? No…"Also, pointing out arguing techniques, grammatical errors or the energy level of your debate opponent is just a cheap way of taking the focus off the actual argument, and is used by people who have exhausted their means of making intelligent points as they attempt to change the direction of the conversation from the actual debate topic to making their opponent appear shaken, weak, or of lower intelligence. 21. Everybody is just dodging question bullets with watered down attacks and propogandish statements. Yes, i did just make up propogandish. It means mostly propogamda with a little truth. Please, I make my self look foolish, I do not need anybodies help.Is it rape if it is offered with out any pursuing?Let me know when you when there is a counter point ready instead of all this snoot tooting reflecting insults and accusations.

  24. Who has dodged you? What points have you made? The only dodging I have seen is when Gomez debunked your "higher ranked player" argument. And attempting to appeal to logic and polemics is a bad idea, Wick. If you really want to abide by the parameters of critical thinking, all fallacies will be out of play for you. If you want an example, let us start with the red herring you threw out when quoting that wiki entry. This is all getting very meta.

Posted by Devon Rosene | August 15, 2011, 12:13 am
  27. I think your question that you think I am dodging is why is it rape if he offered it up to you. Well I can only go by the precedent history has set. Through out Ramrod we have used rape as a way to describe a trade that looks horrible. When Adam and I made the Felix trade it was said that Adam got raped. Nobody cared that it was his idea. We said he willingly got raped. You have called trades rapings without knowing who offered who what. So by your past actions and the actions of the league, who offered who the trade is not relevant when deeming it a raping. How can you use the rankings in one breath and then admit that it is only 1/3 of the full story? Now what other questions am I dodging?

  28. Red Herring wiki entry? No quotes, all original thoughts. I think I did fine if my quote is an idea shared by someone else. Was he an author of one of your fancy parameters of critacal thonking and logic books? He sounds smart, a little fishy, but smart. Sorry to disappoint about those being my words. I always thought a Red Herring was a fish? Thank you for answering, Gomez. Accusations of rape from past trades have causde my situation to be classified as assault. Thank you for naming sources and former cases. I understand that ramrod defines rape as just a geniunly nasty trade, no matter who offered/accepted it.

  29. By the way, that entry of yours–that is allegedly yours–has quotes around it. Fishier than a red herring.

Posted by Devon Rosene | August 15, 2011, 5:11 pm
  30. Because I quoted myself, bonehead. It's my quote, live with it.

Posted by Dead Rebel | August 15, 2011, 7:48 pm
  31. Getting mad at Wick for accepting that trade is like getting pissed at the casino for taking your money. It's not rape if the girl seduces you and says yes….
