R.M.A. Q&A

Go ahead, ask your questions.

15 man RMA team.

You may trade draft picks officially through Yahoo!

If you trade draft picks, each team must recieve (receive) a pick. Yahoo! will never let you have less/more than 25 picks.

Rounds 16-25 all just count for a chance to pick in the supplemental round. This is for all teams that did not acquire a pick between rounds 1-15 in the trade where they moved their high round draft pick.
They intern receive a pick at the end of the draft after round 15. Too (To) accomplish this, the person acquiring the high round draft pick must send back one of there (their) 16-25 round picks.

1. At the start of the season you can transfer your current NA players to your 40-man roster.
2. Your 5 R.M.A. players and your actual Yahoo! 25-man roster account for 30 players of your 40-man roster. The extra ten spots are consider part of your R.M.A. team also.
3. This is not a Disabled list crutch. The 15 R.M.A. non-Yahoo! roster spots are only for future draft picks and NA players.
4. You can fill out your unoccupied R.M.A. spots through with NA players acquired through trade or future draft picks acquired through trade.
5. You can also transfer players that become NA after you have aquired (acquired) them. The player must be on your roster for 15 days before you can move him to your RMA team. if you use your waiver to acquire a player and that player is not on the big league roster, you may transfer him straight to your R.M.A. roster.
6. When a player loses his NA tag, his owner has 3 days to re-activate him to your R.D.L. 25-man roster.
7. PAY ATTENTION. If you pick up a player on another owners R.M.A. team, you will be punished:
1st time: Loose (Lose) the player you drooped (dropped) to waivers
2nd: Loose (Lose) 4th round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
3rd: Loose (Lose) 3rd round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
4th: Loose (Lose) 2nd round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
5th: Loose (Lose) 1st round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
Anytime after I will lock your team for a week.

2011 Dead Rebels R.D.L. Baseball

* Notice the lineup changes I am considering. Now that we have the Ramrod Minor Affiliates, I do not think we need 8 bench slots. We can add one more Utility spot and add one more starting pitching slot, while making the “P” slot back into “RP”

The pitching is more classic Ramrod Baseball, last years experiment just thinned out the starting pitching. And we have always played 13 offensive players. Last year we went down to 11.   I think the compromise is 12.

Let me know what you guys think.

Head 2 Head

Subjects that need discussion:
  • we can have FREE AGENT budgets with our waiver system. That means everyone would have the same chance to bid on a player and whomever bids higher gets the player. If there is a TIE BID then it goes to old school waiver priority between the two highest bidders
  • This league should be HEAD 2 HEAD. Imagine having two Divisions of 5 teams. Division winners make playoffs. Everyone has a chance to win a Ramrod Title. For the bottom rung teams, it goes from like a ten year wait to compete to maybe making the playoffs and possibly winning Ramrod this year. The winner would not be decided until the last day, rather than at the beggining of August. <—-I would really like this and think it would make the league so much more fun and competitive.
  • We could have the Head to Head be: Win by Stat Catagories exaample- 5-3. If you won you got 5 points, if you lost you got 3. Or we can have winner gets 1 point, loser gets 0 towards overall standings. Example- 1-0.
Rivalries would build, the competition would grow, and winning the league will actually be like Managing a real Baseball team to the playoffs and then to the WORLD SERIES.
Do we not want a RAMROD WORLD SERIES?

RP slot VS. P slot for Ramrod Baseball 2010

Next year for Baseball would the league prefer to have 2 “RP” slots or should we switch the fifth “SP” to just a “P” slot.  eliminate the second “RP” slot. It would create a extra bench slot allowing more roster flexibility.

You would still be able to play two Closers, there would just be a decision to make on days when you have 5 “SP’s” going and need the “P” slot, adding a little more stategy to the league.

If you do not want to leave a comment you can click “yes, no, or maybe” in the bottom of the post.

Ramrod Minor Affiliates

I was wondering if you guys wanted to lay claim to a player in the minors before the season starts. I really think this will encourage some owners to follow the minors as they will be able to track “their” young pup through the different levels.
What do you guys think? It would follow the waiver system with Pat getting first dibs. And we would have an official list here of who has whom. I believe that was previously the biggest obstacle facing my suggestion.
