R.M.A. Q&A

Go ahead, ask your questions.

15 man RMA team.

You may trade draft picks officially through Yahoo!

If you trade draft picks, each team must recieve (receive) a pick. Yahoo! will never let you have less/more than 25 picks.

Rounds 16-25 all just count for a chance to pick in the supplemental round. This is for all teams that did not acquire a pick between rounds 1-15 in the trade where they moved their high round draft pick.
They intern receive a pick at the end of the draft after round 15. Too (To) accomplish this, the person acquiring the high round draft pick must send back one of there (their) 16-25 round picks.

1. At the start of the season you can transfer your current NA players to your 40-man roster.
2. Your 5 R.M.A. players and your actual Yahoo! 25-man roster account for 30 players of your 40-man roster. The extra ten spots are consider part of your R.M.A. team also.
3. This is not a Disabled list crutch. The 15 R.M.A. non-Yahoo! roster spots are only for future draft picks and NA players.
4. You can fill out your unoccupied R.M.A. spots through with NA players acquired through trade or future draft picks acquired through trade.
5. You can also transfer players that become NA after you have aquired (acquired) them. The player must be on your roster for 15 days before you can move him to your RMA team. if you use your waiver to acquire a player and that player is not on the big league roster, you may transfer him straight to your R.M.A. roster.
6. When a player loses his NA tag, his owner has 3 days to re-activate him to your R.D.L. 25-man roster.
7. PAY ATTENTION. If you pick up a player on another owners R.M.A. team, you will be punished:
1st time: Loose (Lose) the player you drooped (dropped) to waivers
2nd: Loose (Lose) 4th round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
3rd: Loose (Lose) 3rd round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
4th: Loose (Lose) 2nd round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
5th: Loose (Lose) 1st round pick to supplemental round at end of draft
Anytime after I will lock your team for a week.

Round 5

1. Phantom Brigade – Jonathan Singleton – PHI -1B
2. BJ’s Silly Team – Arodys Vizcaino – ATL – SP
3. Fightn’ Fidels -Yordy Cabrera – OAK – SS
Supplemental Round
1.  Fightn’ Fidels – Michael Ynoa – OAK – SP
1. 5 Roster spots (so there will be 5 rounds to this years draft) Think of these 5 roster spots as your “minor league affiliate”
2. The Supplemental round will be after the 1st round and 5th round – The supplemental round after the 1st round includes extra pick for coming in 10th, 9th, 8th, (rewarded after every season) and other rewarded picks. For instance, this year Dan O., Nathan S. and Adam M. will have an extra pick for reparations. They will also have the early picks for the next two drafts. One for each season they were overlooked. The Supplemental round after the 5th round will include picks for teams who have traded earlier round draft rights.
3. You cannot have more than 5 rostered players/Rights to future draft picks – Teams with Early picks, Teams who have “traded up”, or Teams who own the Deep Dynasty rights of players from last season will forfeit their later round draft picks.
4. You may trade picks – If you trade the rights to a pick the receiving team must release the rights to one of their players to clear a spot on their minor league affiliate for the “future drafted player”. So if player “X” trades his first round pick to player “Y” player “Y” will have to immediately release a minor leaguer clear room for the spot he is using the upcoming draft to fill. Player “X” then forfeits his rights to the early round picks and then receives his make-up picks in the supplemental round after the 5th round of the draft. Player “X” may also trade for rights to another minor league player, then forfeiting his late supplemental round pick he would have received.
5. You may redraft or hold onto rights of players – Think of it like poker; you have five cards and you can choose to redraw as many as you want from the deck each year. If you choose to release three players, then you have picks in the first three rounds pertaining to your finish in the last season.
* There is a Tab on the top of the Ramrod Blog site where all player rights and traded draft picks will be chronicled. Make your picks in the comment thread on this post. Each team has until midnight the next day to make their pick after previous pick is made or they forfeit pick.
Results will be filled on this post after each pick in the comments. Official minor league Ramrod rosters will be chronicled under the “R.M.A.” tab. (Ramrod Minor Affiliates)
*Also please post in the comments or text me what you want your Minor League Affiliates name to be.

2011 Deep Dynasty Draft

Will be held soon after the Baseball Playoffs end.
Here are some new rules I am fleshing out.
The bottom three Ramrod Teams will get and extra dynasty pick after the first round of ten picks. They will technicaly have picks #11 for last, #12 for 2nd Last, and #13 for Third Last.
# 11 – Last
# 12 – 2nd Last
# 13 – 3rd Last
Also, this year Daniel, Adam, and Nathan will be rewarded and extra pick. They did not have the chance to pick players from the waiver wire like Patrick and Devon were able to, they had to choose from a list of shitty relivers we dropped, then they didnt get anything. This wont completely atone for past faults but it should help. These picks will be in order from the years they joined.
# 14 – Nathan
# 15 – Daniel
# 16 – Adam
You will only be able to trade your “natural pick” All extra round Dynasty picks are not trade elidgable.
Also, if your Deep Dynasty Pick does not go on the player list the year you draft him you will still maintain rights to that player and will be allowed to make your next years pick with out punishment

Ramrod Minor Affiliates Draft Question?

Commissioners Thought: Once player becomes Yahoo! eligible the Team Manager who owns his rights has until said player comes off waivers to make a corresponding move in order to make room for owned player.
OR:  Players drafted in Deep Dynasty Draft stay free-agent until player reaches Major League. (from BJ)

2010 Ramrod Minor Affiliates Draft

At the begining of every season before the games begin we will hold a Deep Dynasty Draft.
The players available in the Draft will be any Baseball player not yet listed in the Player Pool after the publishing of the league.
If a player becomes available after the time of the Deep Dynasty Draft post he becomes unavailble to managers who have not already picked and subject to the waiver process unless said player has already been selected. If that is the case he will be bypassed through waivers and added to managers roster without use of his waiver pick.
Each manager will receive 1 pick a year (unless awarded 2nd pick through Ramrod Court) and pick cannot be changed.
When picked player arrives in Player Pool he will bypass waivers and be awarded to managers team.
Please make your picks on this Post’s comment thread. Enjoy.
* at time of Post The Stonecutters selected Jason Heyward.

I was wondering if you guys wanted to lay claim to a player in the minors before the season starts. I really think this will encourage some owners to follow the minors as they will be able to track “their” young pup through the different levels.
What do you guys think? It would follow the waiver system with Pat getting first dibs. And we would have an official list here of who has whom. I believe that was previously the biggest obstacle facing my suggestion.
